I have been working with glass since falling in love with the medium when I did an elective on warm glass at the Meat Market while doing my Fine arts degree in Sculpture at RMIT. I work from my home studio in East Brunswick; I exhibit regularly and make glass bowls and mobiles which I sell at a few outlets. In my art practice I prefer to use recycled glass that I find in op shops and markets. I heat them in the kiln over a wire frame, which creates new and unique forms. The unknown origin of the found glass means piece is completely unique.
I am also on the committee for the artist run space “Upstairs at the Napier”, which aims to provide a space for new artists and curators, to exhibit in a supportive environment.
