Edinburgh Gardens Plinth Program

Applications close 15 May 2017

Yarra City Arts is calling for Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from artists to make a new site-specific work for exhibition on an historic plinth in Edinburgh Gardens. Council are seeking EOIs from artists to create a new work for this site that will be exhibited on the Plinth for 18 months from 2017 to 2019. To be eligible, artists must currently live, study or practice in Victoria. This is an opportunity to create a unique artistic statement in a busy, inner city park. Artists should be mindful of the key audience for Edinburgh Gardens that includes users of the community oval, local residents, pedestrians, nearby business patrons, commuters and national and international visitors to the area. The selected artist will receive a fee of $10,000. This fee is inclusive of all costs involved with the creation of the work.  For more info go here read more
