Are you interested in developing skills as a reviewer? Whether you are passionate about the written or the spoken word, this 2-hour workshop will help you to handle the critical review as a valuable part of our literary and performance culture. Through examples, discussion and tips, we will: define the genre; discuss how to begin a review; explore what it should contain; and learn how to find an angle and a voice. Participants are requested to bring a review they have recently read, or a draft of their own if applicable.
Bonny Cassidy is author of three poetry collections, and her critical essays and reviews have been widely published in Australia and internationally. She is currently Feature Reviews Editor for Cordite Poetry Review, and was founding Essays Editor for Rabbit: A Journal for Nonfiction Poetry. Bonny co-edited the anthology, Contemporary Australian Feminist Poetry and manages the BA Creative Writing at RMIT University.
