Second Stitch is a Refugee/Asylum Seeker run textiles enterprise that operates out of New Futures Creative in Coburg. Its purpose is to enhance employment opportunities for people who have come to Australia with textile and clothes production skills and who face a variety of barriers that prevent them from finding employment.
Second Stitch’s fully equipped studio provides a clothing alteration service to the community and free sewing lessons to disadvantaged members of our refugee & asylum seeker communities.
In 2017 we are looking to launch a line of textile based products with a particular relationship to the Early Childhood sector. For more information contact us ocn 9354 2193 or firstname.lastname@example.org
