October 23 2.00 – 4.30pm
It’s this time of the year when Moreland City Council kick off their annual art-in-public-spaces event and Squeaky Wheel will take the community on a treasure hunt on two wheels to explore MoreArt Festival in depth!
A vibrant cluster of artworks and artists appear in unusual, and unexpected public sites along the Upfield and Sydney Road rail, road and bike precinct.
Hop on your bike and join on her journey our host Jane O’Neill, director of Artificionado Tours. Meet the artists and participate in their work. Now in its sixth year, this eclectic and diverse festival program demonstrates once again the ability of artists to transform urban environments into vehicles for contemplation, celebration and imagination.
This first MoreArt Ride will be held on Sunday October 23rd and will start from Gowrie Station. We’ll be working our way south down the Upfield Shared Path past visual art and participatory installations, ending up at Jewell Station.
Bring some water, sunscreen and snacks, places limited to 22 cyclists.
This is a FREE ride but it is ESSENTIAL that you RESERVE your place.
