City of Melbourne Triennial Arts Grants

Applications close 26 March 2017

The triennial arts grants program provides three-yearly funding for arts organisations and festivals which enhance Melbourne’s cultural identity and reflect Melbourne’s goals and priorities. They are proud to support major and emerging arts organisations that make Melbourne a creative city.

The program supports a diverse mix of arts and cultural organisations, art forms, and contemporary and heritage practices.

The purpose of the program’s funding is to:

  • support innovation and experimentation in content, practice and engagement
  • enhance the Melbourne brand with a focus on excellence
  • support participation in and access to the arts and creative expression, including specific target groups such as children and families
  • increase city activation through delivering programming that increases city activity and attracts people into the city throughout the week day and night.

The triennial arts grants program is not an organisational funding program. The program provides three years of funding to arts organisations to support the delivery of programming that reflects the above purposes and furthers our objectives and priorities for Melbourne.
